Reinventing Legacy: Leading with Curiosity Across Generations

For family businesses, success isn’t about repeating the past - it’s about adapting, evolving, and leading with curiosity. In this session, Bo will share how his unexpected path back into the family business shaped his leadership approach, and how embracing creativity and outside perspectives can help family companies thrive for generations to come.

 

About the Speaker: 


Bo Dietrick is the President of Robert Dietrick Company (RDC), a manufacturer’s representative and industrial service business serving the Midwest by helping customers keep their business moving through material handling products and processes.

A third-generation leader of RDC, Bo carries forward the company founded in 1969 by his grandfather and led for many years by his late father. Before officially joining RDC in 2017, Bo spent six years after graduating from Purdue University working in technology and advertising with ExactTarget, Salesforce, and creative agency TrendyMinds.

Bo has served as President of RDC since 2021, and the company proudly remains family-owned. Outside of work, Bo enjoys spending time with his wife, their two young sons (ages 4 and 2), and their Bernedoodle, Alfred. He also has passions for the outdoors, film, comic books, drumming, and live music.
