Event Description:Unplanned downtime, equipment inefficiencies, and reactive maintenance can significantly impact safety, quality, and productivity. This full-day Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) workshop, led by Purdue MEP, introduces a structured approach to equipment reliability that supports the goal of perfect production- zero breakdowns, zero defects, zero accidents, and zero losses.
TPM is a cornerstone of Lean manufacturing and emphasizes shared ownership of equipment across the organization. In this workshop, participants will learn how TPM engages operators, maintenance teams, and leadership in proactive maintenance practices that improve uptime, performance, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
The session combines practical instruction with real-world manufacturing examples to help teams understand how to implement TPM in a sustainable and scalable way.
Learning Objectives:Participants will learn how to:
Who Should Attend:Team leaders, maintenance personnel, engineers, supervisors, and others involved in plant maintenance, reliability, and equipment performance.
Why Attend:This workshop provides practical guidance for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and strengthening collaboration between operations and maintenance- all critical components of operational excellence in manufacturing.
