FBA Leadership Coaching Bootcamp

Description


Leadership coaching is an effective approach to develop employees through customized development plans, setting expectations, providing regular feedback, and having one on one conversations. The goal of this program is to apply a coaching approach to leadership that will build up the capacity of managers and supervisors to improve the performance of their direct reports.

This series is offered in partnership with the University of Evansville and the Family Business Alliance. It begins on November 4, 2024, and meets again on November 18, December 2, and December 16.

SESSION 1:

  • Introduction to leadership theory
  • Characteristics of effective leaders
  • What is coaching? What is not coaching?

SESSION 2:

  • Introduction to behavioral change
  • How leaders can help change behaviors

SESSION 3:

  • Applying effective leadership and behavioral change to coaching
  • Framework for leadership coaching

SESSION 4:

  • Application of leadership coaching
  • Providing effective feedback
  • Tools for leadership coaching

Special Guest Speakers:

  • JP Engelbrecht, CEO, South Central, Inc.
  • Megan Knoll, VP of Operations, Gribbins Specialty Group
  • Brad Niemeier, Co-CEO, Azzip Pizza
  • Dylan Rexing, CEO, Rexing Companies

Instructor: Dr. Timothy A. (Tad) Dickel serves as the Executive in Residence in Leadership and is the interim faculty director of the Master of Science in Leadership program at the University of Evansville. In addition, he is the President of T.A. Dickel Group, LLC and serves as a leadership and strategy consultant for businesses, universities, and nonprofits.

This series begins on November 4, 2024, and meets again on November 18, December 2, and December 16.
