Promise Zone Business Resource Roundup

Description

Join us for a Business Resource Roundup co-led by the Evansville Promise Zone and Southwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to learn about the no and low-cost resources available for businesses and prospective business owners. 

A boxed lunch will be provided as you listen to 5-10 minute speeches from presenting partners. Representatives from presenting organizations will then be available for 1:1 or small-group discussions so you can connect with them to learn more.

Presenting Partners:

 Community Action Program of Evansville (CAPE) - Individual Development Account (IDA) Small Business Track - financial literacy program with matching personal savings funds component to purchase or start a business.

 University of Evansville (UE) Microloan Program - Micro loans for Women and Minority Owned Businesses (W/MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), and Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), administered by UE students under the supervision of the Institute for Banking and Finance. 

City of Evansville Revolving Loan Fund - The City of Evansville provides for three separate Revolving Loan Funds (RLF). Specific objectives of these revolving loan funds are for small business development, job creation/retention, business expansion, and talent attraction. 

Elevate Ventures - We invest in high-growth, high-potential entrepreneurs working in: Advanced Food & Agriculture, Advanced Manufacturing / Defence / Aerospace, Drug Development / Life Science / Medical Devices, and Technology-Enabled Products & Services / Security. 

Southwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - Helps small businesses start, grow, finance, innovate, and transition through no-cost, confidential business advising and training.

 SCORE Evansville - SCORE's mentors, comprised of active and retired business men and women, provide clients with free, unlimited and confidential business counseling.

 Indiana Procurement and Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) - The Indiana PTAC team is staffed with counselors experienced in government contracting and provides a wide range of services. 

WorkOne Southwest - Services available to employers to help build a workforce pipeline, find new employees, and resources to make informed business decisions.
