Today’s Story: John Gabriel Nguyen-Truong - Xphera

After studying Forensic Science and Sociology from Saint Louis University, he went on to start Xphera Inc., in April of 2021, a company that provides an alternative to on-premise signage using augmented reality technology and the X-Earth mobile app. 

Over the past few decades, we have seen how technology has transformed various aspects of human life, including how we learn new information when moving about different spaces. However, have we seen any significant innovation when it comes to signage?

We will discuss a recent innovation developed by the XPHERA team that transforms how we can approach on-premise signage. It has now become possible to eliminate dependency upon signs, decrease environmental risks, remove accessibility barriers, and unlock new engagement potentials.
Through the X-Earth mobile app, XPHERA offers an effective alternative to on-premise signs by utilizing augmented reality and GPS technology. From this, our next evolution is now to remove language barriers in signage by automatically translating signs to various languages.
In Evansville, XPHERA has officially partnered with the Evansville Wartime Museum to accomplish this and bring this innovative technology public.
