Format: In-person, full-day workshop (8 hours)
Event Description:
Manufacturing teams are constantly solving problems- but without a structured approach, solutions often address symptoms rather than root causes. This full-day workshop, led by Purdue MEP, equips participants with a practical, repeatable method for solving problems effectively and sustainably.
Participants will learn how to apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) problem-solving framework and supporting tools such as A3 problem solving, root cause analysis, process mapping, and cause-and-effect diagrams. The course focuses on real-world manufacturing scenarios and provides hands-on techniques that can be applied immediately on the shop floor or in operational decision-making.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to clearly define problems, identify true root causes, and implement corrective actions that drive continuous improvement.
