For more than 145 years, St. Vincent has been guided by our Mission of serving all persons, with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. St. Vincent has been providing the Evansville community and the Tri-State area high-quality healthcare services since the Daughters of Charity first arrived in Evansville in 1872. Since that time, St. Vincent has grown to encompass St. Vincent Evansville, St. Vincent Warrick in Boonville, St. Vincent Medical Group and a myriad of other inpatient and outpatient healthcare facilities and services. St. Vincent is a statewide health system with 20 locations, over 2,000 physicians and over 400 total sites of care. As member of Ascension Health, the largest Catholic health care system in the country, our mission is to care for the bodies, minds, and spirits of those in need, regardless of personal means or religious affiliation. As the largest non-profit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health system, Ascension is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable. In FY16, Ascension provided more than $1.8 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. Ascension includes approximately 150,000 associates and 36,000 aligned providers. Ascension’s Healthcare Division operates 2,500 sites of care – including 141 hospitals and more than 30 senior living facilities – in 24 states and the District of Columbia.
