About
Mudpuppy Palace is a nonprofit organization rooted in nature-based, hands-on STEAM learning for all ages. Designed to operate like a children’s museum meets a nature center, we provide engaging, experiential education through both mobile outreach and future plans for a permanent campus in Mount Vernon, Indiana.
Our flagship program, Marty’s Mobile Mudroom, delivers immersive “un-field trip” experiences directly to schools, libraries, parks, and community events across the tri-state region—removing barriers to access and bringing high-quality educational opportunities to underserved and rural communities.
Through outdoor exploration, creative problem-solving, literacy connections, and innovative technology, Mudpuppy Palace fosters curiosity, confidence, and connection—empowering learners of all ages to explore the world around them. Guided by our motto, “Muddy Hands, Happy Hearts,” we are building a space where education, nature, and community grow together.
