Marketing Essentials: Find Your Audience and Speak Their Language - Evansville
Tuesday, February 24, 2026 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (CST)
Description
Do you feel like you’re shouting into the void—even though you run a great business? Many business owners fall into the trap of thinking “everyone is my customer.” This one-hour workshop focuses on the essential first step to effective marketing: clearly identifying and understanding your audience.
You’ll learn how to uncover who your best customers really are by using insights from your website and sales data, and how to turn that information into messaging that resonates. We’ll explore how to communicate in your customer’s language, show up effectively in AI-driven search, create content that works in a zero-click world, and attract the customers who are most likely to engage and buy.
It’s time to stop guessing and start building a business that connects, converts, and truly matters.
This class will explore questions such as:
- Who actually buys from me? (Ideal customer vs. best customer)
- What do my analytics reveal about my best customers? (More than you might think!)
- How can I speak directly to my best customer? (Wording, format, and AI considerations)
After the workshop, participants are invited to schedule 1:1, no-cost advising with an SBDC Business Advisor for help refining their marketing plan.
This event is being held in-person on the 4th floor of Innovation Pointe, 318 Main St, Evansville.
