Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Workshop

Organizations use Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to identify problems, resolve them effectively, and prevent them from happening again. This hands-on workshop will introduce CAPA concepts and provide a step-by-step method for problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.

Workshop Objectives

  • Define CAPA and explain its purpose.
  • Distinguish between corrective action and preventive action.
  • Use a template to document CAPA activities.
  • Write clear problem statements and descriptions.
  • Interpret data tools such as control charts and Pareto charts.
  • Understand the purpose of containment.
  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Identify, prioritize, and assess corrective actions for risk.
  • Apply best practices to prevent problem recurrence.
  • Recognize the components of an effective CAPA system.
