Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Workshop
Organizations use Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to identify problems, resolve them effectively, and prevent them from happening again. This hands-on workshop will introduce CAPA concepts and provide a step-by-step method for problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.
Workshop Objectives
- Define CAPA and explain its purpose.
- Distinguish between corrective action and preventive action.
- Use a template to document CAPA activities.
- Write clear problem statements and descriptions.
- Interpret data tools such as control charts and Pareto charts.
- Understand the purpose of containment.
- Perform root cause analysis.
- Identify, prioritize, and assess corrective actions for risk.
- Apply best practices to prevent problem recurrence.
- Recognize the components of an effective CAPA system.
