Description
***This is an online-only event.***
Create a sleek, professional website on a budget - no coding skills needed!
Want to build a professional, mobile-friendly website without breaking the bank? In this webinar, you’ll learn how to create a custom website using Google Sites and other low cost/free tools.
For less than $200/year, you can have a fully functional business website with a professional email address, dedicated business phone number, cloud storage, and collaboration tools.
Tools Reviewed
- Google Workspace - a suite of digital business tools, including a professional business email address (e.g. yourname@businessname.com vs. businessname@gmail.com)
- Google Sites - create and host your website
- Google Voice - dedicated business phone number
- Google Business Profile - ensure people find you on Google Search and Maps with a free Business Profile for your storefront or service area
- Perplexity, ChatGPT and Gemini - generative AI tools to help create the copy (text) for your website
- Pixabay, Unsplash and Pexels - free stock images to give your site visual appeal
- Namecheap - purchase a custom domain so your website can live within a professional URL like www.yourbusinessname.com
Who Should Use Google Sites
Businesses that need a simple, professional looking website should consider using Google Sites. Before committing to a tool like Google Sites, however, you are strongly encouraged to weigh the pros and cons of Google Sites vs. other website building and hosting tools.
Google Sites will not be suitable for things like blogging, complex/large websites, e-commerce, inventory systems, other advanced integrations, and advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Google Sites offers some basic free SEO features, but they are limited compared to other platforms.
