Job Summary

Supervise all levels of Broadband Technicians. The Broadband Technician Supervisor coordinates each day’s workload and serves as the first line of support for BBT’s at the local level. The Supervisor provides advice, direction and training as well as direct assistance as needed to all BBT’s. The Supervisor may assist in all of the activities of a BBT1 through BBT4 including complex installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and commercial customers including multiple broadband services and high-speed data services; including voice services. Perform troubleshooting and repairs from customer's electronic devices (TV, Modem, Cable Box etc.) to the amplifier. Monitor BBT performance, Conduct evaluations and performance reviews of technical staff.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Support Broadband Technicians

Customer escalations, Oversee field responsibilities, Metrics **

Perform Diagnostic QC Auditing and Reporting

Ensure safety practices

Train all field personnel to diagnose and repair network issues safely and in compliance with technical standards.

Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements/Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record per the Fleet Policy

Experience: 3+ years experience with field technician experience related to installation and troubleshooting of phone, HSD, CATV services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Coaching and Developing Employees, Task Management, Customer Relations, Strong Motivational Skills, Organization Skills, Basic Knowledge of Plant
