The Vanderburgh Humane Society and River Kitty Cat Café are thrilled to announce the promotion of Alison Stocker to the role of Events & Engagement Coordinator!

Alison joined the River Kitty Cat Café team in March of 2025 as a Barista and Marketing Specialist. She has done tremendous work in less than a year’s time on growing River Kitty’s social media presence, including the long-awaited creation of its TikTok account with over 20 million views already! 

Alison originally hails from the St. Louis area. Prior to joining VHS, she also managed social media for Animal Protective Association of Missouri. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Public Relation, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Saint Louis University along with a Master of Arts in Communication from University of Missouri – St. Louis.

Alison will not only continue to market River Kitty Cat Café, but assist with VHS social media storytelling as well. She will also manage all VHS events, succeeding Mackenzee McKittrick who is departing for Alley Cat Advocates in Louisville, KY.
