Wesselman Woods will host its second annual golf scramble fundraiser, Going Green on the Green, at the Evansville Country Club on April 25.

An annual golf scramble fundraiser for Wesselman Woods (WW) returns to Evansville Country Club on Monday, April 25, beginning at 11 a.m. Going Green on the Green is a chance for WW to raise money and help a few “birdies” of our own. Sponsors of this event support our educational initiatives and animal ambassadors in addition to forest and trail maintenance for the largest urban old-growth forest in the United States.

WW is looking to align with environmentally conscientious businesses who are eager to help "drive" the community to experience unique environmental opportunities amidst the "lungs" of Evansville. Sponsorships are still available; interested organizations can visit wesselmanwoods.org/annualevents#goinggreengolf to access the sponsorship sheet. Registration closes on April 11.

All proceeds from the event go directly towards the work of Wesselman Woods—the largest urban old-growth forest in the United States, located in the heart of Evansville, Indiana. The Wesselman Woods Nature Center is home to numerous animal ambassadors including birds of prey, mammals, and reptiles used for educational programs. To make these programs more accessible to the public, Wesselman Woods relies heavily on volunteers, donations, memberships, and support from fundraising events like the Going Green on the Green.
